SHAB Blends Persian Heritage with High
Global pop phenomenon SHAB continues her unstoppable rise with “Perfume,” a magnetic, floor-filling single designed to own the night. Created alongside long-time collaborator Damon Sharpe and A-list songwriting powerhouses Bonnie McKee and JHart, the track marks the first release from a series of 2026 creative sessions, setting the tone for a summer dominated by her signature global sound.
Driven by a propulsive beat and infused with shimmering Middle Eastern melodies, “Perfume” effortlessly bridges the two worlds that define SHAB’s life and artistic vision. It blends the rich, intricate heritage of her Persian roots with the bold, unapologetic confidence of her American upbringing. Lyrically and melodically, the song operates as a masterclass in sensuous empowerment. Anchored by the standout line, “I wanna shine like a new Ferrari / I get you high on my perfume,” SHAB delivers a vocal performance that balances heat, playfulness, control, and total liberation.
The arrival of “Perfume” comes on the heels of immense chart momentum. Her recent single “It’s On You” (featuring Preston Harris) climbed to No. 15 on the Billboard Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart, marking her fourth Billboard Top 40 single alongside previous hits like “Lipstick” and “Skin & Bones – VIP.” This streak places her among today’s most compelling pop figures, praised for live performances that combine show-stopping confidence with fluid, hypnotic grace.
Beyond the glamorous production and dancefloor appeal lies a narrative defined by incredible strength. Having escaped radical fundamentalism in Iran at age eight and spent years in a German boarding school before arriving alone in New York as a teenager, SHAB transformed hardship into artistic triumph. Today, she uses her platform not only to deliver chart-topping pop anthems, but also to advocate fiercely for women’s rights in Iran. With “Perfume,” SHAB delivers an invisible signature—an intoxicating blend of culture, glamour, and unshakeable feminine strength that lingers long after the music stops.
